Lengha

The lengha is the defining Pakistani bridal and formal silhouette: an embellished top over a full, flowing skirt, finished with a dupatta. Ours are hand-embroidered with kora, dabka, zardozi and resham — from guest-weight party lenghas (~200 artisan hours) to full bridal pieces (800+) — made to your exact measurements in your choice of 900+ shades, and filmed for approval before dispatch. Compare the silhouette family: farshi lenghas for the trailing sweep, ghararas and shararas for heritage trouser drama — or read lehenga vs sharara vs gharara explained.

Lengha questions, answered ▾

What is a lengha? A two-piece silhouette — embellished top (choli or longer kameez) over a full skirt — worn with a dupatta. The classic South Asian bridal and formal shape.

Lengha vs farshi lengha? A classic lengha falls to the floor; a farshi sweeps it, trailing behind for ceremonial drama. The farshi is heavier and suits seated grandeur; the lengha moves more freely.

What's included and how is it sized? Top, skirt and dupatta, made to your measurements with a 3–5 inch alteration margin — our guide to measuring for a bridal lengha walks through every measurement. Cancan (volume underskirt) is listed per product where included.

Lehenga FAQs

  • What is a lehenga?

A lehenga (also spelled lengha) is a traditional South Asian outfit consisting of a long, full skirt, fitted blouse (choli), and dupatta scarf. It's the most popular choice for Pakistani and Indian brides and formal occasions.

  • What is the difference between lehenga and lengha?

Lehenga and lengha are the same garment—just different spellings. "Lehenga" is the Hindi spelling, while "lengha" is more common in Punjabi and Pakistani usage. Both refer to the traditional skirt-blouse-dupatta outfit.

  • How long should a lehenga be?

Floor-length lehengas should just touch the floor when wearing your event heels. Ankle-length (1-2 inches off the floor) is more practical for dancing. Provide your height and heel height when ordering for correct length.

  • What body type suits a lehenga?

Lehengas suit all body types—it's about choosing the right style. A-line flatters most figures, flared/circular suits pear shapes, fitted/mermaid suits hourglass shapes, and high-waist styles suit petite frames.
